Jo has been with McRae, Stegall, Peek, Harman, Smith & Manning since 1984. His practice areas include workers’ compensation and general litigation. Jo has handled numerous workers’ compensation claims for many large employers in the Northwest Georgia area, including Floyd County, Kellogg’s, Dollar General Corporation, Temple-Inland, Inc., Floyd Medical Center, Engineered Fabrics Corporation, and Shaw Industries, Inc. In addition to litigation practices, Jo also serves as a mediator in resolving workers’ compensation and other cases.
Jo has served as a seminar coordinator for the State Board of Workers’ Compensation and spoken at various industry group meetings, and has also conducted seminars regarding workers’ compensation matters.
Jo is a member of the Rome Rotary Club and previously served as President of Darlington School’s Alumni Association and as President of the Nine O’Clock Cotillion Club. He is a past board member of the United Way of Rome/Floyd County and the Open Door Home. He is a former President of the Rome Bulldog Club and has served as a Deacon and currently serves as an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome.
